Today, we celebrate the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty and the amazing work of supporters who have been spreading the word that we need a plan to end poverty in Canada.
On October 6th, groups from Victoria to Whitehorse to St. John’s took to the streets. Over 50 groups handed out bags marked ChewOnThis! and used the opportunity to explain to passersby that national action on poverty is urgent. We need a national anti-poverty plan, and the Dignity for All model plan is the place to start.
Today, we thank our friends and colleagues by showcasing some of the images, media articles, videos and audio clips of these events.
